Everyone wants to go to heaven to be with Jesus, but we find multiple excuses for not entering into deep and meaningful prayer.
Why would we want to spend eternity with someone when we do not seem to want to spend any serious time with him today?
As disciples of the Lord, we MUST see ourselves as extensions of Jesus. All our activity must then come from this identity. The Martha image (self-generated activity) becomes a Mary image (Spirit-generated activity) when we present ourself to the Lord in prayer. How’s your prayer life?
There is plenty of work in the Lord’s vineyard – there always will be. We are invited to join in this labor and told to “ask the Master of the harvest to send laborers.”
After reflecting on God’s goodness to us and the freedoms we enjoy do we freely choose to labor for the Lord?
