First Sunday of Advent
November 26, 2011

The current culture claims to value difference, ”We are not clones after all!”  Yet, try living out your difference (Anglo/Burmese, Advent/”holiday,” male/female, Catholic/”Christian,” etc.)  and be told, “don’t  focus on what separates…”

Difference or separates? Is Thanksgiving Day different than Martin Luther King Day or does it separate? Is pregnancy different than celebrating a birthday or does it separate?

Each “step” has its own value for what it is; nothing more, nothing less.

Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ The King
November 19, 2011

Since Christ IS King and since He called us through baptism to share in His life and work, we are offering the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick at each Mass. Whether our illness is physical, mental or spiritual, our parish family gathers in prayer to unite our sufferings to those of Christ.

b). Investing wisely

c). Playing it safe

d). How love directs intelligent actions

32 Sunday in Ordinary Time
November 5, 2011

This weekend we begin our parish retreat lead by Fr. Pat Martin.

The first reading from Wisdom 6 says, “Resplendent and unfading is wisdom,
and she is readily perceived by those who love her, and found by those who seek her.”

Jesus reminds us that time is short and those who are wise  prepare. There is still time!
